The management of GCG are
committed to and accountable for the Health and Safety, both of its employees and of other persons involved in its business; and for the protection of the environment in relation to all activities carried out in the performance of its business.
Our Policy is to conduct the business in way that maintains a safe and healthy workplace for our employees and surrounding community , as well as not to have any adverse impact on the environment.
Our target for HSE performance is avoidance of accidents, no injury to people and no damage to the environment.
Since human factor is one of the main causes of accidents, GCG has always been focusing significant resources on information and training activities for all its employees. These activities help to maintain and increase awareness and professional skills about safety, thus limit the probability for any accident. All safety officers and supervisors will adhere to the procedure for reporting unsafe acts, conditions and working practices.
The company will identify training requirements for different categories of staff in HSE matters so as to enhance their awareness, and increase their effective participation and contributions as individual. The company will support sub contractors in achieving the same goal. The company believes that all accidents (injuries and damages) are preventable and that safety is a business.
Our safety policy which is based on the principle that accidents do not just occur but rather are caused, may be viewed by some as wasteful in terms of resources and time, but has helped maintain a zero incident recording in our accident book over the years.
